The Story of the Mini Oxx™ (Currently in Development)
“As a result of discussions with professionals in the aviation, agricultural and oil field industries, we saw a need for a smaller version of our 4.9L engine,” said Ted Hollinger, president of HEC. “We believe that the Mini Oxx can fulfill that need.”
The Mini Oxx will produce approximately 65 horsepower. HEC sees many applications for the Mini Oxx including luggage tractors, power generation, irrigation pumps, farm tractors, wood chippers and numerous other industrial applications.
The new 3-cylinder engine will also feature interchangeable parts with its 6-cylinder counterpart. “We wanted the engines to share some of the same components to increase efficiency in production and maintenance,” said Hollinger.
“Seventy-two of the eighty-one parts used in the 6-cylinder, 4.9L engine are the same for the new 3-cylinder Mini Oxx and are interchangeable.”
